Mr. Brett Vargas
Mr. Vargas has been an educator for six years, committed to inspiring students and helping them reach their fullest potential. He currently serves as the 10th Grade Principal at Hazelwood, where he works to create a supportive and challenging academic environment for all learners.
Before joining Hazelwood East High School, he served in the Ferguson-Florissant School District as a middle school math teacher, high school math teacher, and Math Department Chair. These roles allowed him to guide students at different stages of their academic journeys while developing strong instructional leadership skills.
Mr. Vargas earned his Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education, Master’s degree in Mathematics, and Educational Specialist degree from the University of Missouri–St. Louis. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis as well.
